This video is a full walkthrough all 3 standard class only carriages.

The formation of a 3 carriage GWR 158 Sprinter is A, B, C with all seating being standard class with no first class available. GWR class 158 are currently formed of a mix of 2 and 3 carriages with most units being converted back to 2 carriage formations.

The interior of the GWR class 158 Sprinters has been fully refurbished into GWR green livery and branding since they previously worked with the operator as First Great Western. All seating is 2+2 standard class with tables and plug sockets provided.

The 158 with GWR now mainly operate in Devon and Cornwall but do still work some services out of Bristol. The GWR class 158 operate all Exeter Central to Barnstaple services as well as some Cardiff Central/Bristol Temple Meads/Exeter St Davids to Plymouth and Penzance services alongside the class 255 HST and London class 800/802 trains. The class 158 also operate limited Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour services and Great Malvern/Gloucester to Bristol Temple Meads/Weymouth services however services around Bristol are mostly class 165 and 166 operated now.

The class 158 at GWR are currently planned to remain with the operator but will mostly be reformed back to 2 carriage units instead of 3.

Note that this video was filmed in August 2022 at Exeter St Davids station while the train was waiting to form a GWR service to Penzance via Plymouth.
