Replacing a turbo without replacing the oil feed pipe is a common mistake.
In this Inside the Brands episode, CRP Automotive explains why turbo oil feed pipes should always be replaced when servicing or replacing a turbocharger.
Turbochargers rely on a constant supply of clean oil. Over time, heat bakes oil inside the feed pipe, creating restrictions that limit oil flow. Even if the pipe looks fine from the outside, internal buildup can cause oil starvation, leading to premature turbo failure.
That’s why installing a new turbo on an old, clogged feed pipe can quickly kill the replacement turbo and turn an expensive repair into a comeback.
This video covers:
Why turbo oil feed pipes clog internally
How restricted oil flow leads to turbo failure
Why replacing the feed pipe is critical during turbo service
CRP Automotive offers Rein turbo oil feed pipes designed to support proper oil flow and long-term turbo reliability.
If you work on turbocharged vehicles, this is one small step that can prevent a very big problem.
