This is the redone OP for our fan game/playable visual novel, Danganronpa: New World Order.

DISCLAIMERS:
*To state the obvious, we are not DR: Rebirth and certainly not Kill/Cure. Please do not go into this project expecting an impeccable product of high (or even arguably medium) production value.*

1. A sizable chunk of the sprites are traced. This is because:
(a) This game was originally for a private audience. We only recently succumbed to ["intense, internal"] pressure to make this public.
(b) We thought the overall aesthetic of the characters was unique enough to overcome any ramifications of tracing.
(c) This project is limited by a budgeting factor; as lame as it may sound, untraced sprites are much more expensive and did not seem like a preferable choice in light of points (a) and (b).
However, as both (a) and (b) no longer seem to be relevant, I'll be looking to commission more unique, project-specific sprites. However, this certainly won't happen overnight and is subject to the [very limited] availability of artists.

2. Other than the OP and a limited number of audio tracks, none of this VN seeks to imitate any other fangan [Rebirth included, despite the obvious influence it had on the OP]. Rebirth's OP was referenced simply because we liked the minimalistic style the original creator had adapted. Nothing more, nothing less.

Again, we don't want people going into this game expecting another Rebirth or Kill/Cure. Our team is tiny, the resources we have are very limited, and we all study full-time while balancing jobs and social lives. This project is geared more towards people who want a side game to play, in-between releases of the more hyped web series/visual novels.

We completely understand if you find any of the above points off-putting and welcome any constructive critique and suggestions, including links to artists, musical composers, etc. that you feel may be able help [as well as, god forbid, offers to help directly by providing assets]! We are absolutely willing to pull out our wallets for assets if needed. Of course, that's not to say we wouldn't welcome volunteers with open arms [we're not thaaat masochistic].

At the end of the day, we'd love to be able to make a great game that appeals to a decent chunk of the fandom. But at the same time, as with all dreams, there are practical limitations to this. Thanks for bearing with us ^_^
