Mainnet has been showing its limits in terms of scalability. While scaling out to an L2 chain provides improved throughput and reduced costs without compromising on the security of the underlying chain, scaling an application is not just about redeploying it. Correctly articulating the different contracts in a cross-chain application is challenging. In this talk, we will present the abstractions that OpenZeppelin Contracts offer for smart contract developers and discuss the remaining challenges. In particular, we will discuss the current state of bridge and tokens and why we need more/better standards.
Hadrien is currently working as part of the OpenZeppelin development team, working on the open-source smart-contracts library, and the associated tooling. He is also a TheGraph advocate.
