We will give you an overview what to expect when retrofitting exterior walls with new insulation. Cellulose is an excellent product to fill empty, or partially empty walls. Many homes can be insulated from the outside by removing the siding first.
Once the walls have been filled with cellulose:
1. We hammer a wood plug into the sheeting
2. Repair the rain barrier
3. Install the siding at its original location.
A full 2x4 wall will provide approximately R-13 of insulation value. Cellulose delivers on average 3.5 per inch; Comparable to open cell foam, but without the use of oil based chemicals.
