In 1996, the elementary students and teachers of the Kansas State School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas, transferred from the old building they had been occupying (classrooms and dormitories) to the brand new building (also called Emery Hall).
As they were moving out in March, 1996, dorm supervisors Linda West and Kevin Haynes filmed the whole building as a memorial. The structure was razed some years later, so hopefully this recently-recovered footage will be a great way to remember the history of the School.
