After around 20 minutes of great sailing the forestay snapped resulting in the unceremonious dumping of the pilot into the sea!

In conclusion - this was the only boat that didn't get new rigging this year - what a mistake. Always check your rigging, replace every few years.
Fortunately the Wildwind rescue service was quickly on hand to tow me back in!
