Hi there, neighbors. Today we're going to be taking a look at Optronics GloLight LED stop, turn, and tail trailer lights. Here you can see our lights installed. I've got the tail lights on now, which is going to be our outer ring, but our stop and turn signals is going to be the inner strip. Here we have our stop signals as well as our turn signals. It features a polycarbonate housing that's sonically sealed, keeping it waterproof.

This will protect the 22 LEDs that are located inside, and I find that this light's a really good option for boat trailers due to its waterproof properties because when you're going to load your boat into a boat dock, you have to back the back end of your trailer into the water. But with this sonically sealed unit here, we don't have to worry about any water getting inside, shorting out any of our circuits. Now the weathertight seal's not only optimal for your boat trailers but it's going to work with anything, whether it's a utility trailer like we have here or a box trailer or even a box truck.Its standard size will make it easy to mount on any trailer that already has existing oval lights. They come as a quantity of one, so if you're replacing both your driver and passenger side, you want to make sure you pick up two. You also need an additional wire adapter for the other side as well.

LED lights last significantly longer than incandescent lights do, and the surface mount technology located inside is going to protect all the components from vibrations bouncing around going down the road, so you don't have to worry about any of those components either.These lights are going to be relatively easy to install. They mount right in place using the pre-drilled holes. You will need a three wire to straight plug adapter in order for them to operate. You can see here we've got our standard three pin pig tail. This will plug directly into our adapter and then the straight plugin will plug into our Optronics light.

We can then just position our light in the open hole. If you did have a rubber grommet there, you will have to remove your grommet. The recessed area will fit in a six and a half by two inch slot, and it should fit on most of your trailers as the standard hole size is six and a half by two and a quarter. You can see we've got a little bit of play in there because of the slightly smaller size, but that's okay because we're going to be mounting it with self tapping screws. Now, self tapping screws don't come included with your light, but you can pick some up here at etrailer or at your local hardware store.Once we've got our light positioned, we'll just use our self tapping screw.

Once you've got your top one started, I like to leave it just a little bit loose so I can make sure that my light is level, and then I'll install the rest of my screws. You also don't want to run it down too hard because you don't want to crack the plastic outer housing. Now, if you'd like to give your light some more pop and make it stand out, there are stainless steel trim rings available that will go around the outer bezel here. They have pre-drilled holes that'll match up with the pre-drilled holes in our light. So when you're installing it, you simply slide that over and then run your screws through. Now, due to using the adapter harness, we've now got some extra length on our wire, so we'll want to push that up and use some zip ties to tie it up to keep it from dragging down on the road.
