In this video, I’m sharing something I hoped I wouldn’t have to: my first-line treatment for metastatic breast cancer is no longer working. It’s not exactly a recurrence, but it’s a shift in my treatment path — and an emotional one. I’ve stopped Kisqali and anastrozole and moving to Exemestane (Aromasin) and Afinitor (everolimus).
I’ll walk you through what this means for me, and how I’m approaching the next steps.
