Filmmaking is Cringe - 2024 Senior Capstone Film

Описание: One early fall morning, Ethan Rapp, unable to sleep, begins to have an imaginary conversation with himself. Soon, falling asleep becomes even more difficult after he has the weird idea to make the thought process he is having in that exact moment into his senior capstone film.

Although the creation of such a story is something Ethan knows could be interesting, perhaps even enjoyable, he anxiously questions if making his strange stream of consciousness into a movie is actually worth the time and effort. More than that, is it really worth the embarrassment of letting people get an honest look at what goes on inside his head at 3:00 AM?

Full of absurd gags, nerdy references, and relatable introspection, "Filmmaking is Cringe" isn't just a film about the inner conflict of an artist, but a surreal showcase of what happens when an idea demands to be made a reality.

(Although I wasn't sure whether or not I'd ever upload this, in the year since I finished making this film, I've experienced many wonderful works of art that have thankfully reminded me something: despite my insecurities, stories like this one are very fun. With that being said, please check out the "Alan Wake" video games, especially the second one, and watch the brilliant television shows by Nathan Fielder, "Nathan for You" and "The Rehearsal" as they were right up my alley, and I probably would have referenced them in this film had I been thinking about them in 2023 as much as I do now.)
