An awesome new addition to Pawtuckaway! Huge shout out to Brett Meyers for finding and scrubbing this gem last year. The name "Eclipse" comes from Brett scrubbing it during the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. Had a really fun time working this one!
This is located just below the Fire Tower and is only about a 10-15 minute approach when the gate to Fire Tower is open.
After sussing out the beta for 2 sessions it finally came together on my 3rd day of working it. Brett and I had very different topout beta and once I figured out a sequence that would work for me I managed to send pretty quick. After I sent I wanted to try and climb something in a similar style so I could compare grades. I drove all the way to Farley, MA after to try and claim the 2nd ascent of Kai Webler's "Leather Glove of the Falconeer" Although I walked away empty handed from that one I felt both climbs were in the same difficulty range and am suggesting a grade of V10 for now. If any of you try it let me know what you think!
