The Special Task Force (STF) has seized more than one quintal of ganja and arrested three alleged interstate drug traffickers. Acting on intelligence inputs, the STF learned that a large consignment of ganja was being transported from Kandhamal district to West Bengal. Following the tip-off, a special team was formed to intercept the suspected vehicle carrying the contraband.

The STF team launched an operation and kept a close watch on the route used for transportation. During the crackdown, the suspected vehicle was intercepted, leading to the seizure of over one quintal of ganja and the arrest of three accused persons allegedly involved in interstate narcotics trafficking.

The operation was carried out based on specific intelligence regarding ganja smuggling from Kandhamal to West Bengal. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the wider network linked to the illegal trade and transportation of narcotic substances.
