Adding motion to text is known as Kinetic Typography, a video and online format.

In this video, I show you three cool kinetic typography examples and discover the tricks on how to make otherwise boring text come alive in your videos, and it’s all going to happen inside Camtasia 9. Of course, the principles in here can be universally applied to other capable editors.

What is Kinetic Typography?

Kinetic Typography is an animation technique that is used to change text in numerous ways by making it grow, shrink, fly, spin, fall, pop-up, pulsate, move in slow motion or fast motion.

So, Why use Kinetic Typography?

These moving text elements help to grab the viewer’s attention in a fun way, while also increasing viewer retention time and video shareability.

It is also a great tool to help snazzy up slow parts in you videos where you are concerned about potentially losing your audience.
Moving text videos are also extensively used on websites to immediately engage the viewer and help improve site stickiness.

And, for an advertiser or marketer, kinetic typography is used to evoke emotion, better convey ideas and tell stories, and when combined with other graphics and background music, can also increase the power of persuasion.

The bottom line is that Kinetic typography videos are more easily understood and the messaging is better retained.
