020215 PCT 4 PURSUIT 1

Описание: On Monday around 6 a.m., the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office received an information a wanted felon was in the parking lot of fast-food restaurants in Splendora. They responded to the location, along with the Texas Rangers, and attempted to arrest the suspect, 22-year-old Colbin John Wright.

When Wright realized law enforcement was closing in, he quickly fled in a Kia Forte, nearly striking a deputy in the process. As the suspect headed north on US 59, a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued into Liberty County, with the suspect striking and damaging several patrol vehicles before the vehicle he was driving became stuck in the median. The suspect’s vehicle sustained heavy damage. There were no reported injuries.

Wright was taken into custody, but did not surrender willingly and forced the deployment of a TASER. His passenger, Sarah Wilson was also taken into custody. Both face multiple charges in addition to the outstanding warrants that already existed. Charges for both suspects will be presented to the Montgomery County and Liberty County District Attorney’s Offices since crimes were committed in both counties.

Colbin John Wright, 22, of Onalaska is charged with Evading Arrest in a Vehicle; Resisting Arrest; Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon; and outstanding out of county warrants for Deadly Conduct; Forgery; and Theft by Check.

Sarah Wilson, 20, of Kingwood is charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon; Fictitious License Plates; Tampering with Physical Evidence; and outstanding Montgomery County warrant for Theft By Check.
