Whiney! (Dolphin Velocity Eco) HOKWANG EcoFast at Tesco Extra - Dereham - ♿️ Level Zero

Here we have a Velocity Eco, which is quite high pitched and whiney, and has seen better days. Eight years for a high-speed in an accessible toilet isn't too bad, but you know what is bad? The Ecos in the male toilets lasted under four years before being replaced. And what's even more ridiculous than that? The replacement Velocity Minis are in dire need of replacement after just another four years.

This isn't just an occurrence at this location though, as I can name quite a few Tesco stores which have had Velocity Ecos fail after just a few years, and many Velocity Minis are getting into dire states after a few years. I get that Tesco don't do the proper cleaning required on their hand dryers, which will shorten their lifespan, but £500 dryers barely lasting four years in a mid-traffic toilet is just ridiculous, regardless of maintenance.

I really am loosing faith in the hand dryer industry as a whole. There are only three companies I can name which have made high-speed dryers that have actually proven themselves to be efficient and reliable. They include Goodwind with the Pebble, Mitsubishi with all their dryers, and of course, Excel Dryer with the XLERATOR. The World Dryer VERDEdri V2 looks promising with its 10-year warranty, although no one in the UK has actually found of these. I also want to say the Mediclinics Machflow PLUS, as it looks incredibly promising with its 20-year warranty, although the long-term durability of it hasn't been proven.

Rather strangely, the automatic DVS tap from the refurbishment was replaced with this horribly powerful manual DVS one, although it's since been replaced again with a non-mixer twist tap, similar to what you'd find in an older residential bathroom. This one is somehow more powerful than the manual DVS one though.

Somehow, it has been over a year since I last uploaded a Velocity Eco, although I haven't visited a huge number of Tesco stores, and most I have been to haven't had Ecos.

The baby changing room and changing places both have Velocity Ecos in decent condition, but luckily there's one XLERATOR left in the Costa toilet. Somehow, it has been over a year since I last uploaded a Velocity Eco, although I haven't visited a huge number of Tesco stores, and most I have been to haven't had Ecos.

Before someone asks me why there's a trolley in the toilet, it's because I didn't really want to leave it unattended with my drink in it.
