I dug out my 20 year old map of Big Lake (Calcasieu) while down there recently and decided to give newcomers a heads up while I was studying it for the next day's trip. However, I do recommend hiring a guide at least once on Calcasieu. But if you can't, maybe this will help a little. Just understand that this is a VERY shallow lake with many underwater obstructions...and that I'm no expert. Not in the least bit. Hopefully, this helps someone.
