The skeletonization process undertaken by DONE Watches involved starting from the standard nickel-plated version of the Unitas 6497 and reengineering it to create a visually striking open-worked design. This endeavor required multiple iterations to ensure that the movement's structural integrity was preserved while achieving the desired aesthetic. The bridges and main plate were designed to provide a timeless and robust appearance, steering clear of overly delicate engravings. Laser technology was employed for precise cutting and finishing, resulting in a movement that is both technically sound and visually captivating.

Encasing this movement is a 44mm Grade 5 titanium case, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. The case features a basin-shaped profile with elegantly proportioned lugs, ensuring a comfortable fit on the wrist. The lightweight nature of titanium, combined with the case's slim profile and balanced dimensions, enhances the overall wearability of the BO3 Mechanica.

Complementing the case is an FKM rubber strap, designed with the DONE logo pattern on the underside for added grip and comfort. The strap is secured with a Grade 5 titanium deployant buckle, maintaining the watch's lightweight and durable characteristics. In addition to the BO3 Mechanica, DONE Watches showcased other models at Time to Watches 2025, including variations with PVD black coatings and sapphire crystal dials. These timepieces maintain the brand's signature skeletonized aesthetic and are housed in 40mm stainless steel cases with 10 ATM water resistance. Reflecting on the brand's journey, Thierry Clottu shared his background in microtechnology engineering and his experience with esteemed watchmakers such as Candino and TAG Heuer. In 2012, he founded TCL Concept, developing watches for various renowned brands. The inception of DONE Watches in 2016 was a personal endeavor, fulfilling a childhood dream and channeling his passion for horology into creating timepieces that resonate with mechanical watch aficionados.

Looking ahead, DONE Watches plans to expand its collection with the introduction of a skeleton chronograph and potentially a micro-rotor watch.
