This panel will discuss the role of human factors and system design and how it can be embraced to ramp up patient safety improvement. Human factors experts across healthcare and aviation will discuss this issue alongside patient advocates who have lost loved ones where the application of principles and methodologies of human factors engineering may have saved their loved ones lives.
