Richtersveld trip September 2024
Left Cape Town lunch time Thursday the 19th and drove UP to Kamieskroon.
Friday, we entered the Richtersveld via Vioolsdrift heading to De Hoop.
Was a very windy day and strong winds during the night.
Saturday, we headed to Tierhoek to do some wild camping.
Was a beautiful evening around the campfire, little did we know how it would change.
At about 12:00 the wind started pumping snapping the poles of the two nylon tents.
Sunday we were planning to head into the Namaqua National Park for some wild camping.
As we only had one tent left, we decided to book accommodation in Hondeklipbaai.
Monday we headed home through the Namaqua National park, with the wind still pumping and it being very cold.
