Описание: This film was created for the Valentia Technologies sponsored 'Working Together in Partnership' category of the 2012 Isle of Wight NHS Awards held in November 2012. Oral Health Care for Older People has been developed in partnership with Isle of Wight Council Adult and Community Learning. Our project was developed based on evidence that people living in institutions are less likely to receive treatment and have loose fitting dentures. The purpose of training the carers is to ensure that they have the understanding and knowledge to emphasise the benefits of good oral hygiene. The staff are more aware of oral health care of older residents and through ongoing opportunities for accreditation are more positive about implementing them.
