In this video, I’ll show you how to solve the Windmill Cube, a cool and tricky 3x3 shape mod that looks scrambled even when it’s solved! Don’t worry, if you can solve a regular Rubik’s Cube, you can solve the Windmill Cube too.
We’ll go step by step, from fixing the shape to restoring the colors, using simple beginner method.
A 3x3 shape mod (short for shape modification) is a type of Rubik’s Cube that’s built on the same internal mechanism as a standard 3x3 cube, but its pieces are reshaped or rearranged to create a new look and challenge.
Even though it turns and functions just like a normal 3x3, the different shapes and piece sizes make it look completely scrambled, even when it’s technically solved!
For example:
• The Windmill Cube twists the layers into a slanted pattern.
• The Fisher Cube shifts the centers and corners into diagonal shapes.
• The Axis Cube completely changes the cube’s symmetry.
• The Mirror Cube uses different block sizes, and each piece has a unique height and shape.
