My name is Jacopo Barboro and I'm a student at the "Giuseppe Verdi" conservatory of music in Milan.
The video I am sharing is an excerpt from my graduation concert featuring the works of the late Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen.
The pieces that were executed in this recording are part of his musical history and are arranged by me for 3 wind instruments (Alto, Tenor Sax and Clarinet) and rhythm section, with some changes in structures and chord progressions.

“I Skovens Dybe Stille Ro” a traditional Danish song by Johannes Fritz Emanuel Andersen. The arrangement was inspired by the 1973 version by Pedersen and Kenny Drew and by the various choral versions, with an improvised solo bass introduction.

“Sumri Hallar Hausta Fer” a traditional Icelandic song inspired by the arrangement written by Ole Kock Hansen from the album "Jazz På Nordisk" (1988).
