Jack is an extraordinary young person whose dedication began at just
13. He first volunteered to support fundraising for Joseph, a local child
battling cancer. Despite no personal connection, Jack gave his time
almost daily to help run a Christmas Village event, quickly becoming a
vital team member.
After Joseph sadly passed away and the charity Joseph’s Smile was
founded, Jack remained a constant presence. He has supported every
event since - setting up, running activities, and clearing down - with
maturity far beyond his years.
His commitment extends further. He regularly volunteers at Park Run,
community centre events, and joined the Brynamman Lido Committee
to help restore a local swimming facility.
At 16, Jack launched his own not-for-profit, Amman Valley Events,
successfully organising a large music festival to raise funds for local
charities. Now 17, he is planning a second event to support Joseph’s Smile
and a childcare centre facing closure.
