It is taken as a given in some circles that the longer barrel of a pistol caliber carbine improves the performance of pistol ammunition. Is that necessarily the case? We shoot Federal 124gr +P HST from the CMMG GUARD carbine into calibrated 10% ordnance gelatin to assess terminal performance.
