Zach Scroggin had drawn a tough first assignment in the UFC, on short notice no less, in the form of Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC Vegas 100. To complicate matters, Scroggin, taking the biggest step up of his career, had missed weight during Friday’s official weigh-ins, one of two fighters to do so. That wasn’t a great start to his UFC run, though the short-notice nature of the assignment might give him a little bit of breathing room. That said, things went from bad to worse once the would-be welterweight fight (now a 174lb catchweight) arrived on Saturday.
