Out of the box REAPER feels weird to use with a touchpad. That’s probably because most people use REAPER with a mouse. But it can work great with a touchpad as well, as long as you configure it right. In this video I show you what you have to do.
• General › Advanced UI/system tweaks › Throttle mouse-events › Wheel › off
• General › Keyboard/Multitouch › Reverse scrolls
• Actions › View: Scroll vertically reversed (MIDI CC relative/mousewheel) › Mousewheel
• Editing Behavior › Mouse › Horizontal mousewheel over mixer scrolls tracks rather than arrange view
• Editing Behavior › Vertical & Horizontal Zoom Center › Mouse cursor
• Actions › View: Zoom horizontally reversed (MIDI CC relative/mousewheel) › Cmd+HorizWheel
