My buddy Dan Hobbs who built me a great snare last year has been doing the bearing edges on my Leedys. I think it adds a little crack and definition and adds some detail to the wire reaction. This 5x14 60’s Red Sparkle Leedy already sounded great, but to my ear, it’s better now. 👍🏼🥁 @vintageleedydrums
