Another scenery video? Well, I did say that I had several such videos in the backlog! This video covers the addition of the "forest canopy" at the end of the peninsula. I wanted a higher set of trees that could act as a partial view block. Most of the trees used are "skewer-made" trunks with Super Tree material used to fill out the branches. This is a typical process a lot of modelers use- super glue the Super Tree "branches" to the skewer trunk, paint, seal, add foliage, plant on the layout.
Once the main canopy was in place, I then used MBR trees and bushes to blend and transition from the canopy to the embankment scenery. I then worked on the embankment scenery itself, with the usual items as seen in the previous videos.
Up next- how I made the two large "Super" - super trees shown in the video. It won't be a true "how-to" video but an overview of what I did- I'm sure most will be able to understand and forge ahead with their own such trees if desired.
