Written by Scott Carne, Bruce Curnow, Craig Harnath, Greg Dorman and Greg Woodhead (collectively, Kids In The Kitchen). Produced by David Kershenbaum.
Another band from the great music city of Melbourne, Australia, the band formed in 1983 and signed with Australia’s White label. Their debut 45, “Change In Mood”, was produced by Ricky Fataar, one time member of the Beach Boys in the early 70s. “Bitter Desire”, their next single was produced by David Kershenbaum, who had worked with artists such as Joe Jackson and Duran Duran. The disc went to #17 in Australia.
Kids In The Kitchen’s first album, “Shine” contained both these tracks and went to #9 on the Australian album chart. It was released in the US on the Sire label. The tracks remained the same but the order changed.
The group’s second album, “Terrain” failed to chart (although it did yield a couple of Australian hit singles) and they broke up in 1988.
