Welcome back to Avanor Hobbies — this is Part 2 of my Non-Metallic Metal series, and today we’re tackling NMM GOLD on Lord Eternus from Slaves to Darkness.
In this tutorial, I walk through my full process for painting convincing gold without using metallic paints. Starting from a Dark Rust base, we build warmth and contrast using Parasite Brown and Sun Yellow, before finishing with sharp Bleached Bone edge highlights to sell the metallic effect.
Just like the previous video, this isn’t meant to be the definitive or “perfect” way to paint NMM — it’s simply my current approach and what I can achieve at my current skill level. Hopefully it helps you push your own painting and gives you the confidence to try NMM gold yourself.
🖌️ Paints Used:
Dark Rust
Parasite Brown
Sun Yellow
Bleached Bone
