GRID (2019) - All TC-2 Class Touring Cars tested on Sydney Motorsport Park GP Circuit

Описание: After showing the final race of the career mode and a comparison with the previous Grid games it is now time for my first competitive video in the new Grid game with a test of all 4 cars in the TC-2 class, which are a Subaru Impreza, Ford Focus, VW Golf and Audi RS 3. Here you can see how they match up against each other on the Sydney Motorsport Park Gardner GP Circuit.

As long time viewers of my channel will know I am always extremely thorough when it comes to testing cars. Where other YouTubers would only do a couple of laps with each car I am rather doing a few dozen to make sure to get accurate results and I did it for this test as well. All cars got at least 20 laps, apart from the winning car, since it already beat all the others with less. I am showing my 2 fastest laps with each car in the video.

All cars were driven with the default setup and with all 3 assists set to 0. As a track for my test I picked the Gardner GP Circuit layout of the Sydney Motorsport Park, which I like quite a lot.

Result:
#1 - 1:25:7 Audi R3 LMS
#2 - 1:26:1 VW Golf GTI
#3 - 1:26:4 Subaru Impreza
#4 - 1:26:5 Ford Focus

As you can see the cars in the TC-2 class are pretty balanced, with less than a second separating them on this track. The Audi got not only the fastest time but it also felt the nicest to drive, followed by the Volkswagen. The Subaru felt the worst, since it has a lot of understeer under throttle, especially when coming out of the slow corners. The Ford has a bit of that as well.

If people enjoy this kind of video, then I could do it for a bunch of other classes as well. However, since it takes a lot of work I will probably only do it if this video gets significantly more views than the last two, which performed quite disappointingly for the types of videos that they are. Otherwise I might move on to some NFS content in anticipation of the upcoming Need for Speed Heat.
