Greenberg confirmed 12 people are now confirmed dead, saying the recovery operation continues around the UPS Worldport area near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
He called the devastation “heartbreaking” and thanked first responders for their continued work as the FBI and NTSB investigate what caused the engine detachment and explosion during takeoff.
