Saskatoon Police at the City of Saskatoon landfill to update media about a planned search as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Mackenzie Trottier.
The search will focus on a specific area of the landfill that is about 930 cubic metres and one metre deep, and could take as long as 33 days. The search is scheduled to begin May1 and conclude on June 3.
Trottier, 22, was last seen December 21, 2020 in Saskatoon.
Her family has worked to bring attention to her case, including conducting an interprovincial poster campaign in 2021 and offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to her return.
