Recorded on Wednesday, 26th February 2025, this webinar is presented by Alec Pue, Site Manager for The Woodland Trust.
Alec presents an overview of the Woodland Trust’s work across 1,387 acres of land at Snaizeholme, involving the creation of a vibrant mosaic of habitats including tree planting and woodland creation, meadow, peatland, and river restoration.
For the last 7 years, Alec has been working as a Site Manager for the Woodland Trust. Born and bred in Yorkshire, he graduated from Hull University with a degree in Geography. His early career saw him moving around the Northwest of England and North Wales working in Conservation, Forestry & Arboriculture contracting, before coming back to his roots. He is responsible for all the day-to-day operations at Snaizeholme and has been leading on the project since its inception, from the early planning stages, through to managing the delivery of all onsite activity. Alex has a strong passion for nature recovery across blended habitats and the belief that farming has an important role to play in achieving this.
