The main platform they have always focused on has been a box that they want to sell and monetize further like both Nintendo and Sony. Going into this new generation however it's becoming more and more clear that Microsoft has shifted away from the Xbox as their main platform instead using it as a means to get you to their new focus: Game Pass.
