The Charge at Somosierra, 1808, Re-enactment and Documentary

Описание: On 30 November, a modest yet deeply passionate reenactment at Somosierra brought history back to life. Around 90 reenactors gathered to honor one of the most dramatic episodes of the Napoleonic Wars—the legendary Polish cavalry charge of 1808.

This video begins by commemorating the reenactment and the organizations behind it, before taking a deep historical dive into the real Battle of Somosierra: Napoleon’s desperate gamble, the uphill charge of the Polish Light Horse, and the brutal fight that opened the road to Madrid.

Small in scale, immense in meaning—this is how history is remembered.
