First and foremost, Orí represents the physical head of beings. It is symbolically represented by our head, which is essentially a reflection of our personality, our human self, our inner health. It is said that Orí is responsible for our identity, our character, our temperament, as well as for our talents and abilities - so one human being is incomparable to another as every person is a world onto himself or herself, unique and one of a kind.
In addition, Orí refers to origin, as it symbolises each individual’s spiritual genetics and represents our roots and our beginning, our spiritual essence. A belief in Orí as the spiritual essence means that it is the very oldest element in our life and as such of vital importance for the owner.
