In the heart of Brooklyn, Prospect Park stands as a rare sanctuary of nature amid the city’s busy streets. The Prospect Park Alliance manages 585 acres of parkland, providing education programs, volunteer opportunities, and essential care for its diverse ecosystems.
With the support of Con Edison’s corporate philanthropy grant, the Alliance’s Landscape Management team can continue preserving Brooklyn’s last remaining upland forest. This grant helps fund restoration efforts, such as planting 250 native trees and shrubs to strengthen the park’s ecosystem and ensure it thrives for generations to come. Con Edison’s partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance highlights their shared commitment to sustainability, conservation, and creating green spaces that connect New Yorkers to nature every day.
