Welcome to Kribi, the number one beach destination in Cameroon. Kribi itself is still a very untouched beach location in Africa making it it truly special. There are no big resort, massive stores or anything like that. Kribi is all about the simple life, the beach and of course the delicious fish and seafood that comes in from the Atlantic Ocean every single morning.

Because the "fish economy" is such a big part of life in Kribi, we had to go and visit some of the local fish markets to experience the hustle and bustles. From there we also walked through a fishermen's village (under the rain of course) where they make that delicious and very famous smoked fish that you can see being sold by street vendors on the side of the road all around Kribi.

After seeing where all this delicious seafood comes from we also had to try some and let us tell you that the shrimps in particular are some of the best we have ever had.

While in Kribi, you cannot miss the famous Chutes de la Lobé or the Lobe Waterfalls. A beautiful sight and also the only waterfalls in the world which drops directly into the ocean.

Finally, our Airbnb named Maison de l'océan... What can we say apart from the fact that the location was great and the A/C was working well. Apart from that, it smelled a but weird, the kitchen was infested by all kinds of bugs, there was no toilet seats anywhere and some showed up in the middle of the night whispering my name while walking around the house. Yes, you read that right. Would I recommend it? Well, the location was great and the A/C worked well... LOLL
