At Grand Island Senior High (GISH), the classroom isn't always within four walls—sometimes, it’s the four walls themselves.
Through an ongoing partnership between Grand Island Public Schools and the Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity, junior construction pathway students at GISH’s Career Pathways Institute (CPI) spend class time building a brand-new, affordable home from the ground up.
Learn how this partnership not only helps students learn valuable construction skills and the importance of community service, but also helps provide a deserving family with a beautiful, affordable home.
