Cumbrian Farming 2025. Sowing spring barley with a MF 7720S & Khun combination outfit.

A very busy weekend in the fields of Cumbria as glorious sunshine bathed the countryside over the first week of April.
I managed to catch up with many outfits working in the fields and one of the most modern of these was a MF 7720S and Kuhn Combiliner Venta drill combination.
Equipped with a Farm Force press on the front linkage the well balanced tractor/drill combination was making a super job of sowing the spring barley.
With the land being slightly hilly it was great to get some nice shooting angles, both from above and kneeling down to get a close-up of the action. Also despite being very sunny the light was still quite pleasant and didn’t wash (as is often the case in bright sunshine) the vivid red paintwork of the MF 7720 out.
