Absolutely, yes! What does the journey look like getting to San Blas from Panama City, Panama? San Blas or Guna Yala is an indigenous comarca home to the Guna Yala people. It’s made up of about 365 islands with only 49 that are inhabited. For clear, blue Caribbean waters, it’s a must-visit location in Panamá. There are many tours available for day trips and a 4x4 vehicle is required for the driving portion of the journey. And a local guide is a must to get to the islands. So this is one place we’d recommend doing a tour for peace of mind!
With family in town, we ventured to these beautiful islands for a day of adventure and relaxing beach time. The tour we used included RT transportation, lunch, 2 islands, the natural pools, and a guide. Most will run you around $125. It’s possible to drive to the port on your own with a 4x4 and meet a tour/guide at the port for less money.
