Over 75,000 Somalis have chosen to return to Somalia from refugee camps in Kenya, since 2014. UNHCR and partners are helping those who’ve gone home reintegrate into their communities through projects that teach skills and trades, which allow returnees to open businesses and support themselves. But with over 1 million Somalis still displaced around the world, the country needs lasting peace and more global investment to make any large-scale returns viable.
