I hiked for two days in the Pueblos Mancomunados in February 2024. The route started in Benito Juarez and finished in Lachato, with a night spent at Latuvi in the middle.
Although I walked alone, I'd recommend hiring a guide. This is because of the unclear markings in some places and long, remote stretches without phone signal.
You can visit the "Operadora Turistica Pueblos Mancomunados" in Oaxaca City who can organise accommodation, transport and guides for the route.
