Poolewe to Fionn Loch walk…..

Описание: I would like to share the landscape from Poolewe to Fionn Loch and this is a visual route of the walk (about 6.5 miles) from Poolewe to Fionn Loch. The walk initially parallels the river Ewe, traverses through gentle undulating open sheep and cattle land, so closing gates as you go is very important. Also having your dog on the leash is requested by local land owners within the sheep / cattle areas. Take your litter home with you as well. Depending on the time of year, there is a variety of wild life to be seen. Bird life is varied in the woodland area, with both residential and migratory birds. I have seen both Golden eagle and white tailed eagle on the elevated moorland near Fionn Loch. Red deer are also around, but be aware of signage regarding stalking months.
The walk is on a road / track so even in wet conditions you keep fairly clean; but once passed the Loch Kernsary cottage it rises reasonably steeply and at elevation the weather can change. Carrying warm and waterproof clothing is worth considering. On this day, there was very low cloud reducing visibility considerably, but in normal weather conditions the views are spectacular.
Any photographs included were taken by myself (although rendering upload for YouTube has reduced their quality somewhat). I’ve taken all the video footage on my Samsung S20; I hadn’t realised it was not set to 4K so footage quality isn’t as good as it could have been.....

August 2021 I returned to this walk - there was no low cloud so there is video of the vistas. Although there was quite a strong which meant I could only take limited drone footage - have a look at video [27]
