This cake decorating tutorial shows you how to make a tropical bird and leaf patterned cake using new fun and easy fondant techniques. I really enjoy making organic patterns that are flush to the cake and use less fondant than applying thick fondant decorations all around the cake. During this video, we make fondant leaf "stickers" and we also "paint/mold" beautiful macaws out of fondant. This technique is so fun because it's free and organic, and makes you feel like more of an artist than just a decorator...not that anything is wrong with being a decorator.
