In this video I'll be talking about how Eric Johnson uses spread voiced triads (or open voiced triads) in his melodic playing. More specifically, I'll be giving you some insight on how he uses them in the live into from Cliffs Of Dover, which he plays in Austin, TX. We'll also touch on Drop 2 voicings, what they are, and how he uses them. Spread voiced triads are a wonderful tool for emotive playing, and this particular piece demonstrates that perfectly! There's a lot that you can learn from this piece, so listen up, and get your guitar ready!!
