⚡ 1️⃣ First-Degree AV Block

Definition:
Delay in conduction through AV node, but every atrial impulse is conducted to the ventricles.

ECG Findings:

PR interval more than 0.20 sec (200 ms) (i.e., 5 small boxes)
Constant PR interval throughout
Every P wave is followed by a QRS

⚡ 2️⃣ Second-Degree AV Block (Intermittent Block)

Some atrial impulses fail to reach the ventricles → dropped QRS complexes.

Type I (Mobitz I / Wenckebach)

Site: Usually AV node

ECG Findings:

Progressive lengthening of PR interval
Eventually, a P wave is not followed by QRS (dropped beat)
After the dropped beat, cycle repeats

Type II (Mobitz II)

Site: Below AV node (His-Purkinje system)

ECG Findings:

Constant PR interval (no progressive prolongation)
Sudden dropped QRS complex (i.e., some P waves not followed by QRS)
Often fixed ratio (e.g., 2:1, 3:1 block)

⚠️ Dangerous — may progress to complete heart block → usually requires pacemaker.

⚡ 3️⃣ Third-Degree (Complete) AV Block

Definition:
No atrial impulses reach the ventricles → atria and ventricles beat independently.

ECG Findings:

P waves and QRS complexes have no relation (AV dissociation)
Atrial rate Ventricular rate
QRS may be narrow (if junctional escape) or wide (if ventricular escape)
