This is my greatest Touhou achievement so far.
Patchouli Rush (created by dass) is a patch that pits you against the Weekly Witch's entire Lunatic arsenal (plus Metal Fatigue). The single element spells are in fixed order, the double element spells in random order. It's super fun, I had a fucking blast playing against her.
The spellcards:
Agni Shine High Level: This spell can get pretty tricky if she stays central and moves down, which she didn't do here. On the other hand, it's pretty trivial if she goes to the sides, which she did do here. The lowish rank exacerbated that. Nonetheless, a pretty fun spell.
Bury in Lake: Fuck this stupid spell. Her only one I don't like. The lanes can get really awkward with the little bullets muddling everything up. Wasn't too bad this time but sometimes you just need to be psychic. Bah.
Green Storm: Fun, but not too hard. It actually gets trickier if you died on Bury due to the increased density at low rank.
Rage Trilithon High Level: Her easiest spell. Bullets from similar angles go at similar speeds and vice-versa, so it can't throw many surprises at you. Can throw a mean wave at you, but even then it's very doable.
Agni Radiance: The easy RNG on this run belies how utterly brutal this spell can be. Tthis spell treads the line between fun and bullshit on a regular basis, but hey, still better than Bury.
Sylphae Horn High Level: Infamously dense and hard, but also very fun. Try to stay in the dead center as much as you can. On this run, the game decided to freeze for 2-3 seconds on around 2:13 (not reflected in the replay), but I don't think it really helped or hindered me.
Metal Fatigue: Maybe as karma for the little freeze, this usually quaint little normal mode spell demanded some precise dodges this time. It's usually not bad, but still really badass for a normal spell. I'd love to see a lunatic version of this.
Trilithon Shake: Misdirection spell. Can be pretty chaotic, but nothing too bad.
Silver Dragon: This spell only ever gets tough when she shoots a lot of bullets straight down at different speeds. Most of the time, it's really easy, though. If she moved during this spell, it'd be much more interesting
Emerald Megalith: The last 5 spells are in random order, and it gave me the hardest one of them first. :D The RNG was pretty friendly this time, but it was as fun as every time.
Lava Cromlech: Second hardest one second. :D The RNG made it harder this time, though, but that doesn't change that this spell is awesome and badass.
Mercury Poison: It can mess with your eyes, but otherwise it's a pretty tame spell. You can imagine my nerves playing this though, lol.
Water Elf: You can somewhat reduce this to streaming, but if Patchouli doesn't cooperate, you will have to take the initiative. Look at how long this took! My poor nerves.
Forest Blaze: Easier than Sylphae, but still pretty tricky in its own right. It didn't throw the nasties at me, which I am glad for.
My ranking for these spells (average difficulty) would be something like:
(Sylphae ≥ Radiance ≥ Megalith) ≻ Cromlech ≻ Bury ≫ (Forest Blaze ≈ Water Elf) ≻ Green Storm ≻ (Mercury ≈ Agni Shine) ≻ Tri Shake ≻ (Metal Fatigue ≈ Silver Dragon ≥ Rage Tri).
MarisaA gets the four hardest spells, the others only one each. Go figure.
