Minimill by Primetals Technologies: Direct high-speed rolling of fine-grain rebars

Описание: This 3D animation shows an entire minimill plant (EAF Quantum, twin ladle furnace, high-speed casting and rolling equipment, inline thermomechanical treatment, etc.) as an example at a site of Chinese steel producer Chengdu Changfeng Steel Group. The focus is on the illustration of the thermomechanical rolling process in order to obtain fine-grain concrete reinforcement bars with high yield strength. The produced bars meet or exceed the latest Chinese standards for seismic application, without the need for expensive micro-alloying.
